What AcidTest Will Not Verify

AcidTest accepts only requests that contain discrete, independently examinable artifacts. The following categories fall outside scope and are declined.

Abstract or subjective claims

AcidTest does not evaluate opinions, beliefs, ideological positions, character assessments, or statements that cannot be grounded in verifiable material.

Examples of out-of-scope requests:

  • "Is this person trustworthy?"
  • "Does this company have good intentions?"
  • "Is this political claim accurate?"
  • "What should I believe about this situation?"

These requests require judgment calls that cannot be supported through independent examination of artifacts.

Legal or medical matters requiring professional judgment

AcidTest does not provide legal advice, medical assessment, or licensed professional opinions.

Examples of out-of-scope requests:

  • "Is this contract enforceable?"
  • "Should I sue this person?"
  • "Is this medical diagnosis legitimate?"
  • "What are my legal rights here?"

These requests require credentials and liability frameworks AcidTest does not maintain.

Active disputes or interpersonal conflicts

AcidTest does not arbitrate ongoing conflicts, harassment claims, or adversarial situations without discrete verification artifacts.

Examples of out-of-scope requests:

  • "My ex is saying X about me, can you prove it's false?"
  • "I'm in a dispute with my business partner, who's lying?"
  • "Someone is harassing me, can you verify their identity?"
  • "I need evidence for my court case"

These requests position AcidTest as an advocate or arbiter. The service maintains neutrality and does not participate in disputes.

General research or publicly available information

AcidTest does not conduct background research, compile public records, or answer questions that can be resolved through standard search engines or routine methods.

Examples of out-of-scope requests:

  • "Can you research this company's history?"
  • "What can you find about this person online?"
  • "Is this business registered?"
  • "What's this person's employment history?"

These requests do not require independent verification—they require information gathering that the requester can conduct directly.

Emotional reassurance or validation

AcidTest does not provide reassurance, emotional support, relationship advice, or validation of feelings or intuitions.

Examples of out-of-scope requests:

  • "Am I overthinking this?"
  • "Does this seem suspicious to you?"
  • "Should I trust this person?"
  • "I feel like something is wrong, can you check?"

These requests seek subjective judgment or emotional support. AcidTest evaluates material, not feelings.

Predictive or speculative assessment

AcidTest does not predict future behavior, assess future risk, or provide speculative conclusions about intentions or outcomes.

Examples of out-of-scope requests:

  • "Will this person scam me?"
  • "Is this investment likely to succeed?"
  • "Should I proceed with this partnership?"
  • "What will happen if I trust this person?"

These requests require prediction. AcidTest examines existing material only.

Bulk or ongoing monitoring

AcidTest operates on a per-request basis. It does not provide ongoing surveillance, monitoring services, or batch processing of multiple targets.

Examples of out-of-scope requests:

  • "Can you monitor this account for changes?"
  • "I need verification on 10 different people"
  • "Can you check this person weekly?"
  • "Set up alerts if something changes"

These requests assume capacity or service structure AcidTest does not maintain.

Truth certification or public arbitration

AcidTest does not publish outcomes, certify truth, or provide determinations for public or third-party use.

Examples of out-of-scope requests:

  • "Can I cite your report publicly?"
  • "Will you testify about your findings?"
  • "Can you publish that this person is fake?"
  • "I need an official document proving this"

AcidTest produces reports for the requester's private use. Reports are not designed for legal proceedings, public disputes, or third-party presentation.

Why these boundaries exist

AcidTest is procedural verification infrastructure. It evaluates whether submitted material can be independently examined and what conclusions can be supported by available evidence.

These boundaries ensure:

  • Requests remain within verifiable scope
  • Capacity is preserved for appropriate use
  • The service maintains neutrality
  • Outputs remain usable for their intended purpose

Requests outside these boundaries are declined promptly and without charge.
